Characteristic of the study programme

In the first stage of the bachelor study it is assumed that the applicant has completed a study of primary and secondary professional music education. Studies in Musical art focuses on individual developing of talent and creativity in the field of musical interpretation. The basic prerequisite for the successful study is the talent, which degree the FMU shall assess the admission procedure in the form of a talent test AU.

Supporting the professional knowledge of the core topics of Bachelor's degree Interpretive art are bound to the field of musical interpretation. A graduate during the study will gain the ability to interpret a work of art, and obtains a wide range of creative and practical experience in the field of musical art, and obtains a wide range of creative and practical experiences in the field of musical art.

Obtains theoretical knowledge and skills to understand the essential facts, concepts, principles, which are closely related with the musical art. This knowledge is applied separately in the analysis and interpretation of the musical works in a way that demonstrates an understanding of the context of his specialization.

Profile of the graduate

A graduate of the first degree of Interpretative art study during the study will gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of musical art, handles their use in the exercise of a profession or for the continuation of the university studies of the second degree. Gets an overview of historical and contemporary forms of musical art. Learns the practical basis of creative processes and methods for the interpretation of a musical work. Integrates knowledge and skills into competencies arising from the completed syllabus: interpersonal, team-related work, creative and practical. Filling study program determines a graduate to actively communicate in at least one foreign language.

During the study a graduate will gain the ability to artistically interpret the musical work of art, a wide range of creative and practical skills in the field of musical art and at the same time acquires the knowledge and ability to understand the essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories that relate to the art of music.

Completed a study programme completes the student´s performance (music interpretation) - public presentation of documented semi-recital by audio recording and shall draw up the final Bachelor thesis (defends an artistic performance and theoretical work). The State examination from the field of historical-theoretical aspects of musical development.

Perspectives of graduates

Graduates of the first level university study programme of study the Interpretive arts are the figures, which are based on acquired skills and knowledge to apply in practice as artists (solo players/singers, conductors of the choruses, chamber players), musical arrangers, active workers of the cultural institutions or organizations, musical dramaturges in the orchestra, in the theatres., the teaching staff at primary and secondary artistic schools.
