Programme (joint) boards

Within the quality assurance processes, the Programme Board mainly performs the following tasks:

  • preparing a proposal for a new study programme,
  • prepares a proposal for the modification of the study programme,
  • prepares a proposal for the abolition of the study programme, 
  • prepares a proposal for the assessment of the compliance of the study programme with the standards for the VSK AU BB, 
  • participates in the preparation of documents and applications submitted to the AU AR, 
  • continuously monitors and evaluates the teaching and the results achieved in the relevant study programme, 
  • participates in the preparation of the report on the fulfilment of the study programme quality standards, 
  • assesses the content level and quality of the study programme with regard to the current state of knowledge, artistic and pedagogical practice in the field of art and education concerned, 
  • discusses the curriculum development plan, 
  • receives suggestions and complaints related to the study programme from the internal and external environment, 
  • participates in the preparation of the corrective action plan for the remedial actions imposed by the AR AU, 
  • monitors and evaluates actions to address identified deficiencies, 
  • comments on the complex issues that arise in the life cycle of curricula, 
  • receives proposals for thesis topics (supervisors) and approves them, 
  • is a discussion platform to address open issues related to the quality and development of the study programme, 
  • performs other tasks related to the quality assurance of the study programme under the AU internal regulations.

Where it is optimal and efficient to do so, it is possible to cover several study programmes with one Joint Programme Board (JPB).
