→ CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SP

The aim of education in the study programme Performing Arts is to professionally prepare future graduates of the programme in their chosen field of study for professions in the field of performing musical arts, for autonomous artistic activity in solo, chamber and orchestral performance and for continuation in a subsequent master's study programme or, after completing the qualification education, for the profession of a teacher of a primary art school.
A graduate of the Bachelor's study programme Performing Arts in the field of study Arts has practical and theoretical knowledge, skills and competences related to artistic activity in the form of musical interpretation. He/she can apply his/her developed performance skills and abilities in a manner indicating a professional approach to a musical work, which he/she demonstrates through artistic vision, the ability to make a personal statement and independent creative performance activity. In addition, the graduate of the programme possesses the theoretical knowledge and skills necessary to understand the essential facts, concepts, principles and contexts in the musical arts, and demonstrates his/her competence by using the basic conceptual categorical and methodological apparatus. The student is able to use knowledge and skills to present musical works publicly, to defend his/her concepts and to communicate his/her approach to them with an understanding of the context of his/her own specialisation. He/she is prepared for the autonomous exercise of his/her profession, as well as for further education and professional development, i.e. he/she has acquired the competences to continue with further higher education. Has developed socially desirable competences and a positive attitude towards his/her profession. Is culturally and linguistically literate in order to be able to further develop and perform successfully in a variety of environments.

Graduate of the Bachelor of Performing Arts programme:
- has acquired a reasonable amount of knowledge in the field of performing arts and in theoretical disciplines such as music history, music theory, harmony, musical forms, composition analysis and solfeggio and can use it in the practical interpretation of a musical work,
- is oriented in current issues in the field of musical interpretation, knows the characteristics of stylistic periods and reflects them in the creation of his/her own interpretative values
- possesses the quantum of practical skills necessary for the realization of artistic performance in the field of musical interpretation in a specific artistic field,
- is able to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a professional creative interpretation appropriate to the level of the first degree,
- has acquired the competences and technical skills necessary for independent artistic work, self-study and creative artistic work corresponding to the requirements of the first stage of studies,
- on the basis of knowledge of the theoretical basis and current performance trends, is able to assess and evaluate his/her own interpretation and is capable of adequate self-reflection, is able to recognize his/her strengths and weaknesses and find effective ways for further artistic development,
- is able to analyse interpretative problems and propose creative solutions to them depending on the subjective possibilities available,
- is able to build on the acquired knowledge in a professional discussion and adequately argue and communicate his/her beliefs at a professional level,
- knows the correct physiological and psychological habits and is aware of their importance in the study and public presentation of works of art,
- has mastered the basic strategies necessary for coping with stressful situations and specific stresses related to the presentation of one's own artistic work in front of an audience,
- possesses social competences which are a prerequisite for cooperation with an accompanist, with other artists in chamber ensembles and in larger artistic ensembles,
- has acquired the professional competences that will enable him/her to give adequate artistic performances and to be successful in his/her chosen profession in the chosen artistic performing field,
- is prepared, after successful completion of the entrance examinations, to pursue a master's degree in a related programme of study.

A graduate of the Performing Arts programme, depending on the chosen field of study, can apply as a member of professional music ensembles, as a member of an orchestra, as a chamber player - a member of a chamber ensemble, a member of a music group, an ensemble, a member of a choir, a conductor of a choir, a choirmaster, an accompanist, in specific cases as a solo performer or a solo singer in the field of vocal interpretation, or as a solo singer in the field of vocal interpretation. In addition, in the audiovisual media, as a worker in cultural institutions, as a leader of amateur ensembles, as a music dramaturge in orchestras and theatres
